So it was mentioned that I might want to change my new script to not contain the hot button topics associated with it.
What say you?
A Lab-techs friends battle the dead, soldiers and mercenaries trying to save him from his captors after he foiled a plot to steal the serum his team developed to reverse DNA damage caused by COVID-19.
Or
A lab-tech’s held hostage and tortured after destroying the serum his team developed to reverse DNA damage done by COVID-19 that the military was plotting to acquire. His friends battle the dead, the military and mercenaries attempting to save him and Hollywood.
Too soon?
If it was me, I would replace "COVID-19" with "A DEADLY VIRUS".
But, and there's always a but, if it's integral to your story go for it.
Hope that helps.
I've heard a lot of Twitter chatter about agents automatically turning down anything COVID related but it's inevitable that there will be movies about it in time. I agree with Lance. You don't have to call it COVID for it to be about COVID.
Thanks. It's been reworked, now editing. This is where it is at the moment.
When his old friend is kidnapped after discovering the secret to reanimating the dead, an ex-cop battles blood-suckers, the military, assorted zombies, and soldiers of fortune attempting to rescue him and save the world.
