I am so happy to share this with everyone. It's a personal thing, but for me, a major achievement. I've written short scripts based on public domain poetry. I've been wondering if using my own poetry would work, or if that's a bad idea. I just couldn't tell on my own. So, when I saw that Wildsound offers poetry readings videos with actors for only $25, I decided to go for. It's wonderful. Plus, they included captions in the video. I'm so impressed with how much care was taken in creating this video reading.

I hope you enjoy the reading as much as I do. Now I'm off to see about using 26 years' worth of poetry for short scripts. Wish me luck...
I also did one on Wildsound https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wWk5m2EfzJo&t=12s
I'm curious, Peter, is your poetry reading exactly what you hoped? Better? Worse?
Val Cole is very good. I was impressed by her reading.
I agree, quite impressive.
Congrats and well done, Lily!
Many thanks. And kudos to Peter too! Always good to know I'm not the only one.
That was Great!
I've an unpopular opinion on poetry, like wise - painting... in that:
They're the two easiest 'art' forms to blag - yet the hardest to master.
e.g:
'When Prince said 'Let's Party!'
...like it's 1999.
I craved for further details - for this filofax of mine.
A year is host to many days, many of which, sublime.
But I wasn't sure if New Years Eve was EXACTLY the right time.'
I made that up on the spot in a Leeds theatre, England 1997 - in the presence of a well known poet, to warm praise. He enthusiastically suggested I seek some Arts Council funding... I bought him a drink and we started chatting about football.
