Alexis started out in the field of Artificial Intelligence creating the world’s first musical quantum AI at Plymouth University. As a journalist he has written for New Scientist and the BBC, and had an invited poetry reading of his work at Glastonbury. One of his short films won a Media Innovation Award, and another was distributed by Hewes Films on Amazon Prime/Apple TV.

In his transition to screenwriting, Alexis joined the MA at Metfilm School in Ealing Studios, London. His long-form scripts have won competitions and garnered praise on the Black List website, including placings in the top sci-fi and horror features. Alexis is technical director of the London International Screenwriting Competition.
