Hello There!

My name is Amanda Milwood and I am a young, starry-eyed screenwriter from Dallas, TX... Yeehaw!  I don't have any awards or special accoldaes to my name yet, so I'll just tell you about myself and my experiences with screenwriting and the film industry!  I attended MediaTech Insitiute in Farmers Branch, TX, and graduated at the end of 2019 with a degree in Digital Film and Video Arts.  While at Mediatech, I was famous for being one of the only students interested in screenwriting, and would almost always be working in Final Draft during class.  In fact, one of the scripts I wrote while at MediaTech ended up being made by my film class as our end of year project, and I was chosen to direct it, which was very flattering!

I have been doing film gigs in the Dallas area for the past three years now and it has really opened my eyes to the full extenstion of the film industry.  I've done everything from wrangling cables as a PA to chauffering Jason Sudeikis and Evangeline Lilly while they were filming in Dallas (they were both very nice!).

FUN FACTS ABOUT ME:

1.) My great (x5) aunt on my dad's side, Annie Millwood, is the only known survivor of Jack the Ripper.  She was stabbed six times with a clasp knife, made a fully recovery, was discharged from the hopsital, and died thirty days later of a heart attack while gardening!

2.) When I was fifteen years old, I won a $10,000 acting scholarship to the New York Film Acedemy for performing Macbeth's "To be, or not to be..." monologue to a recruiter.

3.) I love all things fanatsy (Harry Potter, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Avatar: The Last Airbender, etc.)

4.) I have Asperger Syndrome, so I become incredibly fixated on movies, screeplays, shows, etc.  As a perk of Aspergers, I also have incredible memory retintion and can memorize movies verbatim!
