BALBEER BAHI:
After two decades in theatre, I focused on writing scripts.
I am more excited now than ever to work with fellow Storytellers.

I have a number of completed scripts, from micro-budget to large-scale projects. I've only ever written stories that I love, and hope others will too. It's taken a while but picked up some of the craft of writing, which I hope to keep developing.
PERSONAL HISTORY:
At 18 I joined a theatre company, Tara Arts, working with them full-time for 7 years, as Stage Manager, then Actor, and finally as Writer-In-Residence. I also freelanced with The Royal Court, Taliesin Theatre, and wrote for BBC Radio. By 24 I had been involved in dozens of professional productions, including several Theatre-in-Education initiatives, run poetry and writing workshops, and helped set up the New Playwrights Trust.
Going freelance, I worked with Carib Theatre, LIFT (The London International Festival of Theatre), The Men from Cha-Cha-Cha, and Common Lore. Finally, I created and ran The Storytelling Machine and The Theatre of Origami, doing exactly what the two titles suggest. 95% of my work was in schools with 3–16-year-olds, performing and working with over 25 000 children a year. Highly enjoyable, educational, satisfying and rewarding work. And a brilliant way to hone my storytelling skills. Loved it.
