The Fun Stuff!
Ancient myths, tall tales and ghost stories - Lore and lies. Fascinated by every language in the world and endeavoring to pick at least one up before I die. My cats will tell you I sing too loudly and dance terribly, though I would advise you not to believe them as both are notorious liars. Country, hip-hop, disco, soul, grunge, pop, rock and everything in between. My favourite hobby is laughing until I cry and my goal is making others do the same.
When I’m not hunched over a computer you can find me hunched over other things, such as books, a guitar, or antlers that deer are kind enough to leave on the ground. In short I have developed a mighty hunch which I have been told is quite intimidating.
I also happen to be a die hard Toronto Maple Leafs fan which I believe is a testament to my loyalty - Help me win a bet with my brother and purchase one of my scripts before they win a cup, or we are both dead, whichever comes first! Speaking of history - there’s nothing about our past that doesn’t fascinate me. Museums are my happy place and I have been known to scour the internet for antiques I do not need nor can I afford.
Road trips are the name of the game, so tell me where I should visit and the best place to eat there - I assure you I will write it down and then lose the paper. The way to my heart is a good plate of barbecue and I’m always in search of the next best cheesecake. The dream one day is to buy a farm and start an animal rescue so I no longer have to be aware of my arms when talking to people. Animals don't seem to mind.
The Boring Stuff!
Connor attended the Humber College Film and Television Production program where every aspect of the production process was covered in extensive detail. After graduating with a degree and a large independent and student film resume, Connor began working for IATSE LOCAL 873 as a Grip on a number of productions including: Handmaid’s Tale, Designated Survivor, Shadowhunters, Black Mirror and more.
After three years in the Grip department, Connor transferred into Set Decoration and more recently worked as a Set Dresser on projects such as Titans, Grand Army, and Impulse. Additionally, in an effort to further his understanding of the production process, Connor attended a script supervision intensive and graduated with a diploma in 2019. Connor's experience across multiple departments cultivated a strong foundation in the script to screen process, which he seeks to continue building upon by learning more wherever he can.
Outside of film & television, Connor enjoys history, language, politics and social studies, and is fascinated with how and why our society works the way it does. Connor thrives on creating stories that touch on these themes across a variety of genres, and dedicates much of his time to writing film and television projects that seek to engage and excite. Connor’s dream is to write for film and TV, and has created a large portfolio which he is excited to share.
Connor is thrilled to share his social justice horror, OLD VIRGINIA - A relevant and biting take on the future of America. Which is available to read right here on Script Revolution!
