I am a filmmaker, based in Illinois with an ever-growing portfolio. Originally from the Southside of Chicago, I received my high school diploma from Dunbar Vocational Career Academy, where I studied digital media production for 3 of my 4 years. I currently attend Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where I major in Radio- Television with a minor in Cinema. During my time at SIUC, I have been involved in several different campus organizations and assisted fellow students on many projects. In 2015, I won the university's Richard Blumenberg Screenwriting Award for one of my works entitled Street Life – an urban crime drama. My further screenwriting efforts have earned me finalist spots and first place prizes from writing contests such as (but not limited to): ScreenCraft, Circus Road, Filmmatic, and Royal Wolf. I plan to someday launch Block 99 Productions, a film production company named after my childhood street. One of the most important goals of Block 99 Productions is to create films and television programs that will uplift the human spirit.
