I’m a graphic designer and illustrator by trade, so have a naturally visual and vivid imagination and have been writing scripts for almost ten years now - carefully learning the craft as I build up the ideas and worlds that have been running around in my mind for as long as I can remember!
I was born and brought up on a small island in Scotland, where many relatives and neighbors are wonderful storytellers. This is where my love of stories and the art of delivering them comes from.
My education allowed me to explore various aspects of screenwriting and the arts, with writing, directing, camera operating, photography and more forming a large part of my degree. I also wrote about ‘The influence of Akira Kurosawa’s films on western movies and society’ as the subject of my final year thesis and maintain a healthy interest in film theory and criticism.
With regards minor successes so far, early drafts of different scripts you can download here have finished as semi-finalists in ScreenCraft's Action, Drama and Sci-fi contests, as well a few other placements, and I try to write in different genres as much as possible to continue to learn and improve my writing. And I'm delighted to have found this and wish you all the best!
