Evan Alcala is a native born Angelino who grew up all over Los Angeles as he moved a lot from place to place in his youth. His childhood consisted of the 80's through the 90's, graduating highschool in 1999. He learned how to read and write at a very early age and he started winning writing contests for short stories and poetry as early as the 1st grade. After graduating high school he started writing songs and formed a band.

Throughout his early adulthood, through his 20's and into his 30's he was the front man/singer for many different bands and played music all over at renound, world famous clubs. His most succesful band was called Hidden Amongst Us who recently disbanded after releasing 3 albums. Since the band went their separate ways, Evan decided to start writing stories again rather than songs.

With writing always in Evan's heart, it has been at the top of his list of priorities and passions. He also managed to start and run his own business which he still operates today for income. Life never came easy for Evan who left home at the age of 15. He learned how to survive on his own, couch surfing through his remaining years of high school, and still found a way to graduate.

Although it may seem growing up in less to be desired conditions would hinder a creative outlet such as writing it actually strengthened it. Being at a different place, meeting different people, living with different people, and overcoming hardships gave Evan a unique perspective and understanding of the human condition. He is able to relate with almost anyone upon meeting them and is able to portray real human emotions and actions in his works of fiction and art.
