In my previous life, I wore the badge as a police detective and mastered the delicate art of negotiating in hostage situations. But retirement led me down a different path—one of teaching and writing. My journey into educating at-risk individuals birthed my first non-fiction work, Hitting Rock Bottom, sparking a passion for storytelling that I couldn’t ignore.
Within the pulse-pounding realms of thriller, action, and adventure, I've crafted fourteen gripping novels featuring the indomitable Jeannie Loomis, culminating in my latest release, Relics of Redemption. The resonance of these tales with readers inspired me to leap into screenwriting, where I've now adapted five of my Loomis adventures into screenplays, eager to see them spring to life on the silver screen.
My creative spirit didn’t stop there. Delving into horror, I paid homage to the legendary Vincent Price with my retelling of the classic House on Haunted Hill and penned six more spine-chilling novels, including the recent sensation, 13 Ghosts Awakened.
Amidst thrillers and horrors, a festive spark ignited within me, prompting the creation of my first Christmas novella, The Hidden Workshop, a modern twist on the timeless tale of A Christmas Carol. This holiday story delighted readers, earning its place in the top echelons of its genre. Recently, I brought my Christmas story A Christmas Carousel from page to screen, adding to my body of work in screenwriting.
Most recently, I optioned my script for The Birds Return to a Hollywood producer, a rewarding milestone in my storytelling journey.
As a proud member of the baby-boomer generation, I yearn for the heart-pounding excitement and pure entertainment of yesteryears, often absent in today’s cinematic landscape. Yet, I’m confident there’s a hungry audience craving the return of those golden classics. It’s my fervent hope to connect with a producer who shares this sentiment, eager to bring my stories to the screen for the enjoyment of generations old and new.
My scripts—Hitting Rock Bottom, The Phantom Train, and The Fourth Reich—have recently earned recognition as semi-finalists in the esteemed Emerging Screenwriters competition. I extend a warm invitation to explore my scripts, hoping they’ll captivate and thrill you as much as they’ve captivated me.
