Los Angeles, United States

Writer/producer for news, documentary and entertainment shows out of New York and Los Angeles - including Paramount TV, Showtime, ABC Network, Fox Network, CNN, Discovery, Science and History Channels.  I am refocusing my career and  have several feature length scripts on the market in crime, comedy and drama genres.

My various IMDB credits which are comprised of several "Jim Sheehan's"  and one or two  "James Sheehan's", I promise, all of whom are me.   I have looked into how to consolidate all the IMDB profiles but it seems that actually writing another script or two is easier - and much more therapeutic.  Life is short.

A brief word on the scripts - mostly leaning un-corny family friendly - (although there is that one with the serial killer, drugs and satan worshipping, knife wielding vixen).  Not judging any other styles or approaches,  many of which I appreciate.   On most days I just find it's a comforting way to write, aiming for that wonder sort of feeling  - everything from abject fear to soda spit-take laughter - as a fourteen year old kid at the Saturday matinee in the friendly old theater of my youth.

My legal address is in Los Angeles (resident for 20+ years) but now spending a lot of my time in Manila where everything is three times cheaper under a sun that can be ten times hotter.   My L.A. phone - displayed on script title page - is turned off when I am overseas to avoid  Verizon mob extortion rates - but the email address cited (topanga280@gmail.com) is always in effect!   Also on Whatsapp.  Thank you!
