Jonathan is a scriptwriter, consultant, and agent at Screen Talent Agency with a BA in Media Production: Scriptwriting. At university, he continued building on his writing skills and passion for genre films, particularly Spaghetti Westerns and Film Noir, which continue to influence his work.
He started his career by providing script coverage, offering both creative and marketability analyses. Some notable scripts he’s given feedback on include The Vanishing starring Gerard Butler, I Feel Pretty starring Amy Schumer, The Hummingbird Project with Selma Hayek, Jesse Eisenberg, and Alexander Skarsgård, Dreamland, produced by and starring Margot Robbie, and The Courier starring Benedict Cumberbatch. Through his agency work, he’s worked with veteran writers and those beginning to learn the craft.
His first writing credit came during university with his comedy short Tattoo, followed by a short thriller titled The Exchange. His spec crime thriller Frostbite earned recognition, winning Best Feature Screenplay at the Festigious International Film Festival in October 2022. He gained further recognition when his neo-noir short film Stalled won multiple awards at the Falcon International Film Festival, including Best Thriller and Best Filmmaker at the L.A. Neo Noir Film Festival, culminating with Best Short Film at the British Film Festival.
Currently, Jonathan continues to develop his craft while serving as an agent at Screen Talent Agency, where he is passionate about discovering and nurturing the next generation of talent. His dedication to his writing, agency knowhow and previous coverage experience makes him ideal for writing, development and consultancy work as he continues broadening his skills, building on his career in the industry.
