Joseph Murillo is a horror writer that focuses on outcasts stepping up and slaying monsters. He attended CSU Northridge where he received a M.F.A. in Screenwriting. In 2022, his Horror/Sci-fi script, The Colony, won Best Sci-fi feature at the HorrOrigins Film Festival. A proof of concept was produced for his Horror script, Cryptids, for winning the Reno-Tahoe Screenplay competition. His Horror/Western feature has placed in BarnstormFest's Short List and garnered attention through CoverageInk's GetRepped Program.
