Larry credits his early interest in writing to his dad, a wonderful wordsmith and storyteller who had an advertising company he aptly named Post 'n Tell. Larry went on to study and work in advertising himself. His love of movies led him to screenwriting, with a focus on family comedy and character-driven drama.
A battle with cancer (Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma) in 2012 made Larry more determined than ever to achieve his dreams. In 2019, he had three original spec screenplays produced. The Main Event, co-produced by WWE Studios and Netflix, premiered on April 10, 2020 as a Netflix Original and was one of the top five most viewed movies on Netflix during its first two weeks of release.
High Holiday, a comedy starring Tom Arnold, Jennifer Tilly and Cloris Leachman, will be released in 2021. Flip Turn, a drama about an autistic boy who becomes a high school swimming champion -- starring Sheree Wilson, Evan Brinkman and Danny Boaz -- will also be released in 2021.
Larry does volunteer work for several organizations, including the Lymphoma Research Foundation. He also mentors underprivileged/aspiring writers and is excited to be joining the acclaimed Reel Works program as a volunteer mentor in 2021. His mantra is "Become a better person; become a better writer."
A proud member of the WGA West, Larry was honored to have been named as one of the "Top 25 Screenwriters to Watch in 2020" by the Austin Film Festival, where he also serves as a panelist.
