Leslie Davis lives at the base of Mount Greylock ( site of Harry Potter's Llvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry) in New England with his wife Caroline who writes paranormal fiction. Before screenwriting, Leslie designed numerous award-winning games for Simulations Publications and Avalon Hill and published historical articles in Strategy & Tactics Magazine. Leslie has also worked as a software product manager, technical writer, game designer, logic puzzle editor, movie reviewer, mailman, and cat collector.
Influenced by Alfred Hitchcock's classic suspense films, Leslie writes "ordinary person in extraordinary situation" screenplays that often include supernatural elements. The scripts are inspired by specific locations such as a scenic rural postal route or an ivy-league college campus. Approaching writing from a game designer's perspective, Leslie loves "brain teaser" movies. Some of his favorite films are "Black Swan," "Chinatown," "The Usual Suspects," "Vertigo," "Don't Look Now," "and "The Reincarnation of Peter Proud." Music is another important source of inspiration. He is currently developing two SciFi scripts - one about a clairaudient piano student who hears ominous sound waves from the future, and another about the top secret U.S. biological research facility located on Plum Island, NY, where Lyme disease originated.
