Michael A. Elliott was born and raised in Annapolis, MD. Unbeknownst to him, his devout, Roman Catholic, Italian war-bride mother had his life planned for him before he finished third grade. He would either be a priest or professor. Unfortunately for Mrs. Elliott, Michael had a rebellious and creative streak; inherited ironically from her crazy Italian family. Michael was fifteen the first time he wandered off Mom’s plan. Swept up in the Beatles/British music invasion, (yes, he’s that old) he became the drummer for The Tower of London, the region’s top Brit invasion band (you call that music!!- Mrs. Elliott). Two (somewhat) hit records followed and Michael spent years as an in-demand studio musician. Then Michael pursued the life of writer (you’ll end up drunk and in the gutter! – Mrs. Elliott). From there he became a successful stand-up comedian (I never thought Michael was particularly funny – Mrs. Elliott). Idled during the pandemic Michael wondered what creative path to take next. In 2020, he became a screenwriter. Mrs. Elliott, who passed in 2017 was unavailable for comment. But he can guess.
