Mike has had over 150 audio plays produced in the U.S. and overseas. He’s won a dozen Moondance International Film Festival Awards (winner, finalist, and semi-finalist) in their TV pilot, audio play, short screenplay, and short story categories.

In July 2020, his feature-length screenplay Die Laughing was named as a semi-finalist in the Creative Screenwriting 2020 Unique Voices Screenplay Competition.

His prose work has appeared in several magazines and anthologies.

In 2016, he won The Columbine Award for his TV pilot script The Bullying Squad. In 2015, Mike's script “The Candy Man” was produced as a short film under the title Dark Chocolate. His second short film, Hotline, was just completed.

In 2013, he won the inaugural Marion Thauer Brown Audio Drama Scriptwriting Competition with "The Return of Cosmo Draper." In 2020, his audio script "Danny MacIntyre Meets the Molecule" took second place.

He is currently working on a number of projects, including his second feature-length script, The Unicorn in the Closet.

He is actively seeking representation for his script and prose writing.

- Three awards at the Moondance International Film Festival: Finalist - Short Screenplay category [Olivia's Swing]; Finalist Short Stories category [“Danny MacIntyre Meets the Molecule”]; and Semi-Finalist - Short Stories category [“How Melvin Saved Christmas”].
2016:
- My audio series Jim Nolan, Private Eye wins the Audio Verse Award for Best Original, Long-Form, Self-Contained Production.
- My children's TV pilot script The Bullying Squad is a Moondance International Film Festival winner in their TV Pilot category.
- My children's TV pilot script The Bullying Squad wins The Columbine Award.
- My audio script "The Forever Pill” is a Moondance International Film Festival semi-finalist in their Audioplay category.
- “Thanks for the Memories” is a semi-finalist in the 2016 Neoverse Short Story Writing Competition.
- Episode 1 of my audio series Milly Foster, Macabre Investigator is a Parsec Awards finalist in the category Best Speculative Fiction Audio Drama (Short Form).
2015:
- “This Guy Walks into a Bar” (as produced by Pulp-Pourri Theatre) wins an Audio Verse Award in the category Best Writing of an Original, Long-Form, Standalone Production.
- Dark Chocolate wins the Audience Choice Award as the best film in the horror/sci-fi/fantasy genre at the San Diego Film Consortium Awards, beating out 11 other films.
- “Balancing Act” (an episode of my audio anthology series Strange Stories) is a Parsec Awards finalist in the category Best Speculative Fiction Audio Drama (Long Form).
2014:
- “The Pen is Mightier” and the Jim Nolan, Private Eye episode “The Wise Man” are Audio Verse Awards finalists in the category Best Writing of a Self-Contained Long-Form Production.
- “The Pen is Mightier” is a Parsec Awards finalist in the category Best Speculative Fiction Audio Drama (Short Form).
- Received two Audio Verse Awards for writing Jim Nolan, Private Eye (Best Long-Form Writing of an Original Production) and “Burying Uncle Gustav” (Best Short-Form Writing of a Self-Contained Original Piece).
- Strange Stories wins the Audio Verse Award for Best Anthology or Variety Show of the Year.
2013:
- “The Return of Cosmo Draper” wins the Marion Thauer Brown Audio Drama Scriptwriting Competition.
2012:
- “The Pen is Mightier” wins the New York Old Time Radio script-writing contest.
2011:
- “Professor Hoyt’s Remarkable Elixir” is a semi-finalist in the 2011 Shriekfest Horror Film competition.
- “The Candy Man” is named among the top 125 short film scripts in the Golden Brad awards.
2010:
- “Sides” is a Parsec Awards finalist in the category Best Speculative Fiction Audio Drama (Long Form).
- Won first prize in the Friends of Old-Time Radio script-writing competition with “King of the Beasts.” The play was produced live on stage at their 2011 convention.
