I'm an American expat who has lived in The Netherlands since 2018. My Dutch is awful, but I usually spend 30-minutes a day parroting Pimsleur lessons. I'm currently working on three screenplays. The first one is a new script about the life and death of the American poet, Robert Lowell. I'm still in the research phase as I try to make this divisive force of nature palatable to a modern audience. The second script is a biopic about Johanna van Gogh-Bonger, who was Vincent van Gogh's sister-in-law. She was the one who created the mystique of the madness-behind-the-art phenomenon with the publication of The Letters of a Post-Impressionist Being the Familiar Correspondence of Vincent Van Gogh in 1914. And finally, I'm polishing a script about Fritz Gerlich, who was a journalist in Munich when he made an enemy of an infamous street agitator who failed to seize power at gunpoint in 1923.
