I am an award-winning journalist and screenwriter with dual US/UK citizenship. I began writing screenplays in 2002, and my first script, "1066," was a finalist for the Disney/ABC Screenwriting Fellowship that year, as well as winning a bronze award for Best Historical Drama at WorldFest. Other notable screenwriting achievements include winning the 2016 WriteMovies UK Contest ("Madame Cavell"), being a 2017 Nicholl Fellowship Quarterfinalist ("Madame Cavell") and finishing in the quarterfinals four times at the Austin Film Festival ("Madame Cavell" twice, "Nightstrike" and "Putts.") "Putts" also scored a 9 on the blcklist website. My sci-fi TV pilot, "Messiah," finished in the top 10 percent of the PAGE competition in 2013. In addition to writing, I belong to two screenwriting groups in the Raleigh-Durham area, and I help coach screenwriters. I'm a former co-organizer of the Crossroads Writers Conference in Macon, GA, and I was a student judge for the Peabody Awards in college.
