Rick is a retired photographer/videographer and an aspiring screenwriter who draws from his own life experiences, great films of the past, and from history to create his works. Rick is a baby-boomer, an old school muscle car enthusiast, a former soldier and military contractor, and has enjoyed many hobbies such as NHRA drag racing, racing homing pigeons, and breeding purebred Siberian Huskies and German Shepherds. In civilian life, he has worn many hats, from working as a building engineer and maintaining commercial HVAC systems, to owning and operating a residential lawn care and snow removal business. Most importantly, he is also a husband, a father and a grandfather.
Rick is self taught as a screenwriter, other than a few online training courses, and admittedly has a lot more to learn. He writes in the following genres; military, war, drama, action, and westerns, as well as the occasional drama or comedy short, and he feels that a good story can be told without being laced with unnecessary profanity, graphic sex, and senseless gore. He hasn't won any writing contests, nor has he sold or optioned any screenplays yet, thus has no bragging rights per se, but he's does take some pride in creating his own movie posters using Photoshop and On1 photo editing software.
