Stephen E. Barber is a Screenwriter who resides in Thousand Oaks, CA. Writing has always been an instrumental part of Stephen’s life, from childhood journaling through the discovery of the tactical formatting of Screenplay. Announced in July 2016, Stephen’s script, “By Noble Means” was selected as a Quarterfinalist for Stage32’s 2nd Annual Feature Competition. With drama as a main focal point in his writing, Stephen’s ability to translate the Human Condition into story-form has allowed a path for entertainment and an ability to tell stories for what he describes, “Story is the only language that’s universal to all walks of life… if someone can relate to what my character is challenged by, then, perhaps writing is not just a process, maybe it’s just a necessity if we want to connect.”

Stephen graduated High School from St. Bonaventure in Ventura, Ca. Looking for some much-needed guidance and having a sense of service; Stephen enlisted in the Marine Corps and spent his eighteenth birthday in Marine Boot Camp. After his four years of Honorable Duty, Stephen entered the Financial Industry and in 2004, he received his Series 7, 63, 31 and Life and Health Insurance license and has managed money for individuals for nearly fourteen years. His biggest success in life is his wife and three young children. When not writing, not working, not playing with his children or spending time with his wife, Stephen is an active volunteer for the Commemorative Air Force, 501©3 He is heavily involved with Aviation and giving back to his community, Veterans, and Active Duty personnel.
