If you ask me if I conceal myself behind a world of writing and storytelling, well... I do.
I believe writing comes from experiences and emotions as each writer expresses themselves differently within their craft. I believe there is more to loving a work of art than just seeing the author's name on the front cover, it's about feeling and learning who they really are by reading and understanding the words and emotions that capture your attention. Writing on a daily basis means, writers have to become multiple characters and be able to understand each one mentally and emotionally. For me, it means the author attaches some part of them self to the character and the storyline.
I will tell you that when I was younger, I would always write stories, but only in the format of a script. I wanted to give readers another format or solution to enjoy reading stories because I always had difficulty reading novels, but never scripts. Hence, I became interested in writing teleplays and screenplays as oppose to writing novels.
I do enjoy seeing the final product of my craft, but most importantly I feel excited to create characters that an audience will love. I want readers to feel a connection and relate in some way whether emotionally or mentally with these characters. I want them to be apart of the story and travel with the character on their journey. It's very important to me to create a connection between the character and the reader.
I feel most writers, if not all want to bring their storylines and characters to life in hopes of creating a connection with individuals in the world.
All in all, be passionate - be determined, and work hard for something you love doing. That being said, here's to the future. Cheers!
