Tony De Lombardo
I grew up watching way too much television and cinema. I didn't want to be a screenwriter until I hit the age of eighteen. Now, I can't stop writing. I read or write nearly every day. My work ethic is years beyond most my age, but even I have my stretch of unproductive days. I believe in a strong outline with tons of plotting. I plot all my scripts until I know everything about them. I've studied every literary theory book out there and I still don't know enough. I've studied Shakespeare, Moliere, Lope de Vega, and many more fantastic playwrights. I've learned a lot since I've written my first screenplay. People on the Internet tend to focus on the wrong things when it comes to a script, and while I believe formatting is important, I think people focus on it too much. You need to focus on your story and your characters. The formatting focus should come after you've learned everything about your world. Or you can invest in Final Draft... But, besides my love for movies and TV, I happen to love every form of art. I love looking at paintings, visiting the world wonders, listening to music, and just about anything else that requires a littler creativity... I'm going to continue to write until the day I die whether or not I sell a single word. Writing should be about telling a wonderful story, not money, although money is important in this life. With that being said, I would love for my scripts to sell so the world can enjoy them... Please feel free to contact me if you have a question about my scripts. I will answer back in a reasonable time even if I am busy. And, I currently am looking for representation. My main focus are feature films.
