Synopsis/Details
Single loner DARYL has just been kicked out of his parents ' house and booted from his job. Desperate to get back on his feet, he finds a want ad online hiring for delivery drivers at The Siberia Company and accepts. All seems fine at first, until his first day starts. He meets SEAN, who's been in the job for a while now, but isn't planning on sticking around much longer. There's also JARED, the manager of Daryl's DSP, Libel Logistics, a quiet, calm, but otherwise closed-off man who keeps pushing Daryl's concerns aside. Not to mention RAFAEL, Jared's superior, who always seems to have everything planned out, in case of emergency. Lastly, there's MILLIE, a seasoned driver who's just at the point of giving up over the Libel's lack of communication and initiative. As you can imagine, Daryl's first day is filled with chaos. His first stop? Bitten by a crazy German Shepherd with an even crazier owner threatening to sue. Next, a damaged package that somehow goes missing, much to Daryl's irritation. Finally, the final nail in the coffin: Daryl was unable to deliver a package to a customer because he just didn't have the code. At his wits' end, Daryl demands to speak to Rafael, but fate has other plans for him. Millie contacts him, worried that Sean hasn't been communicating with her. The two, now both worried, rushed to his aid, only to find him dead in an apparent suicide, which they quickly learned was due to Jared firing him. Jared and Millie confront him but are still forced to complete their routes due to "company policy". Daryl doesn't bother arguing and pushes forward. After battling through frostbite, his van dying, and barely surviving a robbery, Daryl completes his route and quits, while Millie chooses to stay, convinced that there's no other option for her. Despite the nightmare being over, his trauma lingers. Daryl, now forced to take medication for PTSD, reunites with Millie at Sean's grave and wishes her the best before parting ways for good.
