Synopsis/Details

"The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is to have a good guy with a gun."
Wayne LaPierre

I used to avoid political messages but I really jumped in feet first with this one.

I actually tried to get permission to shoot this at an interrogation room at the Iowa City Police Station but they wouldn't allow us in. They said they worried about the rights of prisoners by getting them on camera even though I explained it would just be myself and two actors doing the scene. I wasn't really sure where they thought I was going to get footage of the real prisoners from. So we ended up shooting it at the Iowa City Public Library.

It was one of the quickest shoots I ever had. Both actors came so well prepared we read through it once and shot it once. That was it. One take and done. I didn't really plan on it being that way but it played out so well I really didn't need any more.

I even got it to the point where I professionally submitted it to the Dr. Who novel range at the BBC but it was too late. They had decided to close the range when the new series was announced weeks after I had made a submission so I'll never know if it would have been accepted. Encouraged though, I then wrote a sci-fi time travel novel, no coincidence, called Time Web Tremors that I self published. I also… Go to bio
