Aristotle follows the life of the Ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle. Born 15 years after the death of Socrates, Aristotle lives a life filled with great events and milestones. From early palace life in Macedon, to his time at Plato's Academy as student and teacher, his marriage to Pythias, time studying biology on the island of Lesbos; his tutelage of Alexander the Great, the founding of his school the Lyceum and its explosion of ideas; his lifelong friendship with Theophrastus, relationship with his slave Herphyllis and the birth of their illegitimate son Nicomachus, and eventual exile from Athens and death at Chalcis.
Set during one of the most intellectually active and influential periods in history, Aristotle determined to be Socrates' true heir, navigates his life and overcomes personal troubles while setting in place the philosophical foundations of Western culture.
