Following a moment of Divine Intervention, a washed up Stand Up Comic becomes a Pastor at an eccentric Modern Church.

Stanley Stachowski is a washed up Stand Up Comic living in Chicago. Whose only claim to fame is an appearance on Conan. 15 years ago.

He's ready to quit comedy for good; when a Priest suddenly collapses at a Memorial Mass for his Father.

Using his background in Comedy, Stanley steps in and lights up the crowd with some lame church jokes and (bad) religious metaphors.

Believing this was a moment of Divine Intervention, Stanley sets out to become a Preacher. The only problem: he has no morals.

On the hunt for a job, he stumbles upon a struggling Non-Denominational Church, called Divine Truth Fellowship a.k.a DTF. Run by Joel Osteen wannabe, Pastor Sheila.

Sheila believes Stanley's appearance is a sign of her own. Her mission: to get DTF back on the "mega-church" track. So she hires Stanley to be an "Associate Pastor/Janitor" at DTF.

Is the retired Comic ready to become a religious leader at a Modern Church, filled with eccentrics and outcasts? Who knows.

But there sure are a lot of similarities between Comedy and Religion.
