In Sync

After the tragic death of his parents, college student Jamie Williams finds it difficult to move on. He sleeps in late, wears his parent's clothes, and spends most of his time in class, distracted, irritating his professor/adopted mother Hayley, and girlfriend Mackenzie. After blowing off a chance to reconnect with them both at a shopping trip to the mall, Jamie wanders alone downtown until he stumbles upon a crack in road. In a matter of seconds, Jamie is given a new power, swallowed up in a bright flash of blue light and finds himself in an empty void, devoid of all life, expect, for a strange blue diamond, seemingly in control of it all. After the device presents Jamie a series of pictures, Jamie, using his power, enters the first one he sees and finds himself on the beach, with Mackenzie, just before he started college. He explains everything to her, and his friend Logan at a cafe where, after the three realize they need more help, go to Hayley for more answers. Hayley and Jamie butt heads before she reveals that Jamie has to reconnect himself to his original timeline in 24 hours or risk being erased into oblivion. The four make their way Downtown, searching for clues, until chaos erupts from Jamie's arm, killing Logan, and his other friend Cody. Hayley soon discovers the connection between Jamie and the pictures and tries to get Jamie to let go of his guilt, but he is struck dead by the police before he can. Jamie wakes up, at his parents house, in 2003, where he is given a long-overdue reunion with his mother. The happy moment is shattered once Jamie finds out she and his father filed for divorce. Jamie's father arrives home and, despite initially not believing in Jamie, changes his mind after Jamie shows him something he treasures dear. Jamie's parents begin reconsidering their divorce, but Jamie's arm activates again, killing his parents, himself, and burning the entire house. Jamie reawakens to find himself in 2016. He reconnects with Hayley at the mall and decides to meet with Mackenzie and Logan. As he tries to tell them something important, he is distracted by the arrival of Vlad, one of his parent's killers. Jamie attacks him, nearly killing him, and soon tracks down the other hitmen. Before Jamie can silence their leader, Mackenzie stops him, taking the bullet. Jamie's arm activates again, sending him back to the moment that started it all. There, Jamie manages to stop the main hitmen, John from killing them, but their fate is sealed by Tad, the third hitmen. Jamie gives his bracelet over to his younger self, and dies by his arm, seemingly ending it all. However, as young Jamie grows up, he finds that time has started to correct itself. Desperate for answers, he, Hayley, and Logan flee to the university where Hayley manages to create a similar crack to what the original Jamie first discovered. Jamie enters, confronts his demons, and manages to reset the timeline, by delivering himself to his mother. As the new Jamie grows up, Hayley is lead to a secret townhouse, where she discovers, Jamie, or what appears to be him, in a tube, anxiously awaiting, something. As she discovers her captors plan she is sedated, and led away, as "Jamie" awakens, beginning the start of something terrifying.
