Synopsis/Details
A young man ventures deep into a cave seeking the legendary Mystic, an ancient sage rumored to hold the answers to life's most important questions. His mission: to discover his place in the world.
The catch? The Mystic is a complete and utter fraud. Whenever ethereal music plays, he delivers suitably cryptic wisdom — but the moment it stops, he's a foul-mouthed, street-talking con artist reading from a script he openly despises. His "profound" answers amount to gibberish he can't even explain himself.
When our intrepid hero realizes he's made the journey for nothing and gives the Mystic the finger on his way out, the sage abandons all pretense entirely — leaping to his feet and unleashing a spectacular, profanity-laced tirade that will echo throughout the cave long for eons.
A sharp, funny meta-comedy about the gap between the wisdom we seek and the reality we find — and the very human disappointment when the universe turns out to be winging it just as much as we are.
