This is the story of two middle-aged African-American women whose friendship takes them on a journey through a world of crime, deceit, death, and danger. Nothing they’ve ever experienced could prepare them for what they faced when they are forced to help a gangster recoup twenty million dollars of drug money.
Jennifer is a middle-aged African American woman who lost her twin children in a road accident a year earlier. She suffers from depression and is slowly trudging through life with no prospects and nothing to look forward to. Her marriage has turned toxic and is on the brink of collapse.
Jennifer’s best friend Dolores is a trophy housewife who discovers that her husband Michael is having an affair. But her husband’s secrets don’t stop there; Michael runs a delivery service, but he is also using his delivery business to help distribute drugs for a dealer called Ruddy. And Ruddy wants Michael to kill the City’s Mayor, for putting a ton of pressure on his other illegal businesses. But Michael won’t do it and he can’t live under Ruddy’s thumb anymore, so he decides to leave.
Jennifer has been plagued by dreams that she claims have given her clues to what is going to happen in the future. Recently a vivid premonition of a murder committed by Dolores has her worried because the victim is Michael.
Dolores tracks down Michael, trying to leave the city, their argument escalates into a fight, she strikes Michael unconscious with a ratchet. Realizing she’s living out Dolores’ premonition, she leaves Michael for dead. Only to later find that her husband’s body has disappeared.
Ruddy has too much money tied up in Michael’s business just to walk away, he holds Dolores accountable, but Jennifer has a plan, she tells Ruddy to let her and Dolores run the distribution side of the business and they’ll pay him back twenty million dollars.
The series follows Jennifer and Dolores turn from amateur distributors to full-blown hardcore drug dealers.
