Kick the Bucket List

Age Rating:

Upon discovering her husband of 55 years' infidelity, an ambitious yet stifled grandmother decides to crash her young granddaughter's apartment in NYC and start anew.

Evelyn Rosenbaum is 75 years old. She’s been married for 55 years to Ronald, the love her life and the bane of her existence. In other words, she hates that she loves him and loves to hate him. Married at the age of 20, Evelyn always dreamed of achieving something more than being a housewife, but never got the chance to. She’s forever felt trapped in this relationship and longs for something more, though she’s not quite sure what. Freedom, perhaps? Youth? Whatever it is, she puts her instincts into action when she finds out Ronald has been cheating on her with the local broad in the retirement community, relying on her wit and trusty bucket list to carry her on a one-way ticket to New York City. A place of discovery, zeitgeist, and exploration, Evelyn is ecstatic. But upon realizing she can’t stay at a hotel forever, she visits the only person she knows: her granddaughter, Hana Meyer, 25 and definitely not looking for a new roommate. Through a lot of convincing (and a bit of sympathy), Hana agrees to let Evelyn stay - and thus begins the blooming of an idiosyncratic yet symbiotic relationship across generations.
