Nutshell THE CONNORS meets MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE, only animated.

In the pilot, teenage drama queen Katie Quinn (16) lands a job as an intern at the worst television station on the air. At the same time she's dating a 20-year-old acid rock / grunge guitarist who's in a band called Death By Choice much to the horror of her father, Tom.

Tom, the family patriarch, is the dry humour of the show. They think he is having heart-attacks, but it just turns out that his family (namely his children), are sending him over the edge.

Katie‘s job comes in jeopardy because the ratings come in for the ridiculous shows her station runs. They're so bad they're beneath the Fireplace Channel. To make matters worse, Katie and her bad influence boyfriend break up, much to the joy of the family
