Synopsis/Details:

In his bedroom, JAMES MASON and his pregnant fiancée KAREN LEWIS get ready for a party. Later, at a hotel, Karen
storms out and James follows as Karen chastises him for flirting with another woman. James sits as her brother GARY
sits beside him, and he tells her not to worry about Karen’s reaction. As Karen drives home a car swerves into
her path, and James gets a taxi from the hotel. As they drive James spots the wreckage of Karen’s car. Six months
later, James drinks heavily in his apartment as LOUISE ABRAMSON enters WILL’s apartment and sees him with another
woman. Louise goes shopping with MICHELLE CRABB, and they discuss her previous failed relationships as James sits on
a park bench looking at photos of himself with Karen. At his apartment, James lets in THOMAS MCRAE, who asks him to
come back to work. James arrives at a food court where RACHEL takes him into the staff entrance. James and Thomas
speak in his office as Rachel and Louise discuss James and his return to work. She gets squirted with water and goes
into the back to get a new shirt from James, who stares at her wet shirt.

Later, James manages employees MIKE, CLAIRE, and GAVIN as Rachel comes up and asks him to come out for drinks later.
As they continue to work Louise convinces James to come, and that night James and Louise share a taxi home. Louise
drunkenly offers her condolences for Karen’s death before accidentally falling into his lap. The next day, James
covers HUGH as Louise tries to avoid him, but they share a smile. They meet in the staff room where Louise apologizes
for her behavior, and James offers to take her out to dinner. Rachel agrees to close the shop as they head off to
dinner. Later, they walk along a promenade and ask about each other before sharing a passionate kiss. Louise returns
home and comforts MRS. ADAMSON about her father vanishing as James calls Karen’s cell phone again.

He goes to Rachel’s and asks her for advice on what to do with Louise. As James contemplates on a mountain Rachel
looks at romantic photos of the two of them. James visits Karen’s grave and talks about Louise as Rachel’s co-workers
notice her negative attitude. Louise gets ready for a date and Mrs. Adamson comments on her happiness, and she goes to
a date at his apartment. They have sex, and later Louise watches James stare at his cell phone on the couch.

Louise leaves for work as James notices an unused condom on the floor. Mrs. Adamson tells Louise she is seeing her
father again, and she joins Thomas, Rachel and Michelle for drinks. Louise leaves and goes to work, where she has sex
with James in his office. Later, Gary arrives at the Burger Palace and asks to come back to work. James visits the site
of Karen’s death again as Mrs. Adamson asks Louise to meet James. Rachel enters Burger Palace to see James asleep in
the office, and she takes him to get coffee where he admits to being nervous to meet Louise’s mother. She tells him
that he has to tell Louise about the past he has with Rachel. James and Louise meet Mrs. Adamson for coffee, and
Louise reacts with disgust when MR. ADAMSON arrives. Gary starts work and James asks how he dealt with the anger of
Karen’s death.

Michelle and Rachel watch Louise take a pregnancy test which reads “positive”, and Louise plays a song over the
sound system that raises the issue, forcing Louise to tell James. James leaves and Rachel confesses to Gary that she
blames herself for Karen’s death. Louise finds Karen’s cell phone and confronts James as he returns home, and he agrees
to get rid of it. Louise meets Mr. Adamson, who questions her relationship with James. James goes and places flowers
at Karen’s grave for her birthday as Louise waits for him to take her to an ultrasound. Mr. Adamson confronts James
at work and insists he ends his relationship with Louise because he is still committed to Karen. James apologizes to
Louise before showing her a nursery, which Louise deduces he had built for Karen. Louise leaves and James gets drunk
as Rachel arrives at his apartment and confesses she was flirting with him the night Karen died. Mr. Adamson tries
to apologize to Louise as Gary tells James what Rachel had told him about consistently trying to win him back. Rachel
tells Louise about his past with James, and Louise returns to his apartment to see the nursery emptied, and she takes
James back. Later, James takes Louise to their new home.
