Synopsis/Details

In a starving mountain valley on the edge of collapse, twelve‑year‑old Mia discovers a wounded American soldier buried under storm debris. Instead of leaving him to die, she hides him in an abandoned hut and nurses him back to life. As he heals, he witnesses the valley’s desperation and the quiet strength that keeps Mia fighting for her people.
When winter closes in and the village’s food supply fails, Mia and the soldier risk everything on a dangerous trek across the mountains to reach help. Their journey forces them to confront loss, fear, and the belief that one act of courage can change the fate of an entire community.
By the time they return, Mia has become the spark that reignites hope in a place that had forgotten it.
