Taylor Mitchell, an estranged son/author living in Brooklyn, inherits his late father's small town newspaper business, giving him a chance to learn about his old man through the people of Congress, Idaho.

Taylor Mitchell, successful author, current Brooklynite, and estranged son. His father passes but leaves him his newspaper business in the small, fictional town of Congress, Idaho. Taylor can't bring himself to attend the service but is drawn to the idea of running the paper.

He has missed out on knowing his father as an adult but comes to realize that he can learn about the old man through his friends and neighbors in this little community.
