The ceasefire between Earth and the space colonies is jeopardized when a freighter on a diplomatic mission disappears and enemies Aleksey and Benjamin put aside their differences to find the ship and preserve peace.

2284. During a pitched space battle, Aleksey and Benjamin unknowingly face off and seemingly kill one another. Aleksey crashes to Earth, while Benjamin spirals out into space. Both barely survive and believe the other dead. Six weeks later, a cease fire is called. Benjamin retires against the wishes of his general, Rockaway, and struggles to figure out what he wants. His sister, Mia, the first officer of a civilian freighter the Adelaide, calls and asks for help identifying a mysterious ship, the Argo, floating in the asteroid belt. Benjamin agrees. Meanwhile, Aleksey, fights against her forced retirement and tries to convince her commanding officer, Noah, to allow her to return to duty. Noah refuses. Rockaway tells Benjamin that the Adelaide has gone missing and Benjamin takes charge of the investigation. Noah calls Aleksey back to duty and assigns her to the Adelaide investigation. Benjamin and Aleksey clash but develop a rapport and try to ping the Adelaide’s beacon. They learn that it has gone inactive, worrying Benjamin. As they discuss their next step, they run into Abigail, Aleksey’s estranged sister who lives on the Colony. The sisters’ reunion is strained, Abigail invites both of them for family dinner, an invitation which Benjamin is too polite to refuse. Benjamin learns that Aleksey’s family lives on the Colonies and her father is a diplomate in charge of negotiating the cease fire. Aleksey decides to take a team and investigate the Adelaide’s last known location. The team is attacked by rogue fighters led by Axel. Aleksey destroys all but one of the attackers and Axel barely escapes with his life. Aleksey identifies the rogue fighters as old Colonial fighters and is no longer sure she can trust Benjamin. Meanwhile, Benjamin finds the last communication of the Adelaide and learns they were attacked by rogue fighters that were not Colonial. Axel is rescued by his commanding officer who warms him that they need to be careful with their plans, now that Nova is around. Axel wants revenge and declares he has first shot at Nova. Meanwhile, it’s revealed that Mia has been killed and the Adelaide’s Captain, Dave, has been captured by the rogue fighters, led by Nathanial Crow and is being interrogated for the code to the secret diplomatic cargo the Adelaide was carrying. Aleksey and Benjamin confide their concerns to their commanders, it’s clear that all the players now mistrust one another. Meanwhile, at a local bar, Abigail and her friend Maximillian, son of a famed Colonial war hero, meet with another close friend, the rogue PLF pilot Axel.

The Writer: Rachel Fischer

So little time, so many places to see, so many stories to tell! Writing has been a passion of mine since high school, but it took a long, winding journey for me to work up the courage to decide to go for a career as a screenwriter. I’ve served in Iraq and Afghanistan, gone to University in Scotland, wandered through different states and different countries and come home with .75cents in my bank account (thank you Dad for the save on that one!). I have a family that indulges me as much as they keep me grounded, thought the food in the desert villages in the Middle East was amazing, Loch Ness was as haunting as Mammoth Lakes and Kyoto on a misty morning and every time I go somewhere new I...
