Synopsis/Details:

The year is 2284. During a pitched space battle, our main characters Aleksey (of Earth) and Benjamin (of the Space Colonies) unknowingly face-off and seemingly kill one another. Aleksey crashes to Earth, while Benjamin spirals out into space and for a moment it seems like the end of them both. We move to a civilian cargo ship, the Adelaide and it’s desperate Captain Dave, as he frantically hides a valuable diplomatic pouch. On the command deck, Mia, Benjamin’s sister, frantically calls for help to no avail.
A week later, we’re in an Earth hospital and we learn Aleksey survived, but she’s now facing forced retirement. Her commanding officer, Noah, thinks she’s burning out, but Aleksey’s desperate to stay in the fight. She returns to her family ranch to recover. We move to the Colonies where Benjamin’s just been released from the hospital. He retires against the wishes of his mentor, Rockaway, and struggles to figure out what he wants. He learns Mia and her ship have gone missing and immediately suspects Earth. He agrees to return to the service in order to lead the investigation to find Mia.
Noah decides to give Aleksey one last chance to prove she’s still capable and assigns her to investigate the disappearance of the Adelaide alongside a Colonial Officer. Aleksey learns there was an Earth intelligence onboard the Adelaide and Earth is desperate to find him. Aleksey and Benjamin, each unaware of who the other is, run into one another and in the midst of their flirting, awkwardly realize who the other is. They struggle to figure out how to work together as they search the Adelaide’s slip at the Colonial Port, as prejudice and secret agendas on both sides complicate their attraction.
Their arguing is cut short when they are attacked by several mysterious men and find the remains of the destroyed Adelaide.
Meanwhile, we catch our first glimpse of the those responsible when we see the other remains of the Adelaide on board a mysterious ship and witness their search for the diplomatic pouch. Aleksey and Benjamin are trapped in the slip when someone closes the door from the outside and Torque rushes to save them before they’re sucked out into space.
