Reno Nevada Rides to Hell

In the dead of night, an approaching storm, and with it, an unexpected visitor from the past. HARLAN CAULDER coerces RENO NEVADA to leave home in search of the MAP to the treasure of LA PUERTA DEL INFERNO (The Gates of Hell). They find it, Harlan betrays Reno and loses not only the map, but his arm as well. When Reno returns home, he suffers a far greater loss: His wife, LILLIAN, is dead.

Now a nomad, Reno wanders the desolate landscape atop his towering, black stallion. He’s a gun-for-hire, using his knack for invention to his advantage.

After ridding a Mexican village of bandits, he is snatched up by Harlan. Reno, who blames himself for his wife’s demise, would rather be tortured to death than reveal where the map is hidden.

Nevada is rescued by a man calling himself THE PREACHER. He wants to enlist Reno’s help to descend into the netherworld and lock the Gates of Hell. Although he feels a bond with the Preacher’s daughter, Reno refuses. When he comes face-to-face with Hell’s demons, he reconsiders.

To succeed, the Preacher must find and retrieve an ancient KEY while Reno must return home and recover the hidden map. The Preacher confronts an archangel known as the GATEKEEPER while Reno and Eve are forced to tangle with Harlan and his gang of cutthroats. After a night of harrowing ordeals, both key and map are recovered.

As they rest in the town of Tempest before descending into Hell, they suffer a devastating setback. The Archangel snatches Eve while Harlan’s men steal the key. With Eve taken prisoner in Hell and the key gone, all hope is lost. Only the restorative power of faith provides the strength to carry on their quest.

The two sojourners follow Reno’s map into Hell and in a fierce battle that sees the Preacher mortally wounded, Reno kills the last of Harlan’s men. Harlan, however, escapes. Lost in the catacombs, Reno stumbles upon Eve and frees her. As they make their retreat, Reno finds the key but is unable to stop it from perishing in a fiery abyss. Harlan suddenly appears and confronts Reno in a final showdown. Unarmed, Reno defeats Harlan by relying on brains over brawn. With Harlan gone, he and Eve race to lock the gates of Hell and escape. They reenter the land of the living, where faith and hope are restored.
