A British Novel by Linda Gillard
A journey of a thought provoking realization of how the sighted people see much less than those who simply can’t see…

Blind since birth, widowed in her twenties, Anna Fraser lives in elegant, angry anonymity with her sister, Louisa, a successful novelist.
Every year Anna visits India for a reason very close to her heart. This year, however, Anna and Louisa are going to stay in India for almost a year, as Louisa has to do her extensive research for her next novel based upon India.
Anna's passionate nature finds solace and expression in music, a love she finds she shares with Dhruv, an Indian Army Man she encounters on her doorstep at Benares one winter's night.
While Anna has had her share of men attracted to her because they want to rescue her, Dhruv makes no concession to her condition. He is abrupt to the point of rudeness, and yet oddly kind.
But can Anna trust her feelings for this reclusive stranger who wants to take a blind woman to his home in Leh of Kashmir, that too, because he wants to "show" her the stars?
