Synopsis/Details
Banned from Pine Valley, the world’s most exclusive golf course, successful investment banker John Callahan has spent years stopping outside its gates, haunted by the one place his powerful father could never get him into. Two weeks before his wedding, John unexpectedly reconnects with Joey Russo, the swaggering Jersey City master plumber who was once his closest friend—and whom John cruelly abandoned when their different backgrounds pulled their lives apart.
When they learn that Pine Valley will briefly open twelve coveted spots to the public, John and Joey devise the ultimate golf heist. On the morning of John’s wedding, they recruit Joey’s fiercely loyal brothers, a cop, an electrician, a tech expert, and several other willing accomplices to trigger a catastrophic plumbing failure, evacuate the club, redirect its members to a neighboring amusement park, and steal one legendary round before John must race to the altar.
But as their increasingly outrageous operation unfolds, old resentments rise alongside the danger of arrest, public humiliation, and a ruined wedding. Joey must confront the belief that John was handed every opportunity while he was left behind, and John must finally stand up to the father whose approval has controlled his entire life.
What begins as an impossible attempt to conquer a forbidden golf course becomes a second chance for two men who never stopped missing each other. To finish the round, John and Joey must decide whether they are merely reclaiming one stolen Sunday—or the friendship and futures they lost years ago.
