Synopsis/Details:

Target Demographic: Sunday evening viewers, Middle aged and above. Parents and older children. Lovers of ‘Call The Midwife’ and ‘Downton Abbey’. Think ‘Calendar Girls’, ‘A Song For Marion’ and a gentle amount of ‘One Foot In The Grave’.

Episode length: 56minutes Genre: Comedy/Drama Episodes: 6

June lost her husband 18 months ago and the time has come for her to re-establish herself in the local village of Memsbury. But the village has changed in the last few years.

Thankfully she makes friends with a group of ladies who all have 3 things in common. 1. They love walking their dogs together. 2. They love (a bit too much) drinking sherry together in the local pub on a Tuesday afternoon and 3: They all have amazing stories to tell.

Each episode sees June move on with her life and come to terms with the loss of her Charlie. What makes this series truly original is in every episode, will see a completely separate story played out from the stories and secrets of all the colourful characters in the village - a different story each week, sewn in to the fabric of the episode. Some dramatic, some funny and some just plain daft - but all fascinating.

This is a group of old ladies as you’ve never seen them before, along with their very individual dogs. Tongue in cheek humour mixed with touching drama, it’s a series that shows older people in a fairer, truer light and is open to be enjoyed by all ages.
