In the Garden of Eden, Eve is surprised to hear a snake call her name. When she wonders how he happens to be in the Garden, he tells her that, if God hadn't wanted him here, he wouldn't be.
Against her warning, the serpent climbs the Tree. A leaf he picks off turns into money. He tries to explain to Eve what a good thing money is - how it can buy you what you want. She pays the snake no mind, saying that God has given them everything they want or need.
As she turns to go, the snake calls to her again, asking if he can interest her in an apple.
