This drama tells the story of Etta, a thirty-something African-American health aide and Martha, an Italian-American woman in her 80s. After Etta starts attending to Martha’s medical needs, she realizes that Martha is deeply biased against black people and she views psychological slavery as a normal fact of life. When Martha’s son Joey, a Mafia boss, stops at her house to get her approval for the assassination of a family member, Etta has to endure additional humiliations. But just for a few hours.
