JACKIE works at a bank and she desperately needs a raise. Her rich ex-husband, Phil has not paid her electric bill, and he and his new wife have taken Jackie's kids on a surprise vacation.

Depressed and needing to get out of the house, Jackie goes to a bar, where we see that she's a sober alcoholic. At the bar, she meets RICKY. He takes her home and seduces her. Ricky talks about his dream of getting away with robbing a bank, and informs her he happens to know of a hit that is fool proof - at the bank where she works...

Jackie's not interested, but next day, is really bad and at night, she goes to the bar, breaking her sobriety.

Ricky shows up and he and Jackie get together again. Now, Jackie becomes more receptive to the idea of robbing her bank,

They make plans to pull off the heist and Jackie succeeds, but, later that day, ANTON shows up instead of Ricky to collect the loot and Jackie realizes she's been had.

Desperate, she follows Anton and the diamonds. She arrives at Ricky's and Anton's meet up place, and demands her share of the money, but Ricky and Anton are now joined by BOYD , DEON and diamond buyer ELI, whose questions lead Jackie to learn that Ricky plans to kill her.

She takes Eli hostage and forces him to drive her, then ditches him in the ghetto and races to her Ex's house, where she talks her way in past the security guards who know her well.

She looks around the house, where she used to live, at pictures of her former family and her kids.

Meanwhile, Ricky and co. have figured out where she have gone, and - by talking to JIMMY at security - which house she's at.

Jackie stashes the diamonds in the safe, and hides in the attic when she sees Ricky and co. Jimmy gets suspicious and comes to check on the house. Jackie tries to call for help, but Jimmy doesn't hear -only the men do, and her location is now known.

Later, Jimmy returns, suspicious of the men, with TREY. In a scuffle Trey is killed.

Rickie and Eli get into an argument about the money. Meanwhile, Jackie opens the safe and takes out two guns.

Ricky finds Jimmy, and threaten to kill him if Jackie doesn't show herself, and beats him when she refuses. In the gun battle that ensues, Jackie shoots Ricky. Jackie calls the police and Jimmy is taken to the hospital.

The police come to the house. Jackie tells them that she was duped. She positions herself as a victim of the situation and everybody appears to believe her, including her ex, Phil.

Meanwhile, Eli discovers that the suitcases he thought were full of money only contain clothing and shoes. Jackie had cleverly made a switch.

After this horrifying experience, Jackie decides she needs to straighten out her life. No more drinking and she has to be self-reliant and become someone her kids can be proud of.

Jackie decides to return the diamonds to the bank and also return the money to Eli. She skillfully gets Eli to invest in her new empowerment business for women. Eli's not happy, but appreciates her being honest and having out-foxed him.

Jackie's two sons come to visit at the new business and watching their mom teach other women to become strong and independent finally gives them a mom they can be proud of.
