This is a contained sci-fi thriller. It could be shot independent or blockbuster style. Lanie Pope is called in to assist with a mass casualty event, specifically assisting to interview and identify the lone suspect. The suspect isn't anyone. Lanie and her partner go through all of the hoops to make sure their i's are dotted and their tee's are crossed while evidence collection begins and move John Doe to an isolated area inside a federal facility. The entire screenplay takes place in just a few corridors within the building as Lanie confronts Doe who appears to have preternatural powers. When an evacuation gets underway for unknown events outside and all external lines of communication are cut off, Lanie finds herself alone with Doe and a small child who was part of the evacuation effort. The building collapses in the turmoil and Doe turns out to not be from the planet Earth. He's also carrying a deadly weapon that is vertically undetectable to the federal agents trapped inside.
