The Writer: Jo Ferreira

I'm a Portugal-based screenwriter passionate about writing female driven scripts in the genres of crime/noir. My favourite movies always have been those surrounding gangsters, the 1920s, but this happens to be a genre that mostly portraits females either as femme fatales or damsels in distress. One of the first things screenwriters are told is to write what you wants to watch on screen, and if doesn't exist yet, write it yourself and that's what I'm trying to achieve as a writer. Go to bio
