The Prince and the Pauper
After trading places with an identical-looking “mortal,” Santa goes on a desperate search for any Christmas spirit left in the modern world.

KRIS KRINGLE, 60s, (or Santa Claus as he is famously known) fears he will lose his Christmas magic if people stop believing. He searches the big city for anyone with a little Christmas spirit left and happens upon TOM CANTY, 60s, a homeless man with whom he bears a striking resemblance. Wishing to remain undercover, Kris and Tom exchange clothes, and Tom is magically whisked away to the North Pole.
AIDEN LOCKWOOD, 13, and his sister MOLLY, 9, two children well-acquainted with Tom, mistake Kris for their homeless friend. When he reveals he is actually Santa incognito, little Molly thoroughly believes, but Aidan remains unconvinced.

MILLIE LOCKWOOD, 35, the children’s single workaholic mother, wants to hit the reset button and brings them to their old family home in New Hampshire for Christmas. Upon arriving, they find her brother HUGH HENDON, 36, an unscrupulous lawyer, who claims to have been given Power of Attorney from their late father. He plans to tear down the homestead to build a mini-mall, but Millie, knowing that he must have forged the signature, is bent on stopping him.

Millie is pleasantly surprised with a visit from her childhood friend, BLAKE ANDREWS, 35, who still lives in the town. Their chemistry is rekindled and he promises to drop by again soon. When Kris (the real Santa) mysteriously appears at the family’s doorstep, Molly invites him in to meet her family. Over the course of dinner, he proves to Millie he is truly Santa Claus by tapping into her childhood Christmas memories. Aware of Millie’s current plight, he offers a plan to use his Santa ways to break into Hugh’s home to obtain the paperwork with the forged signature. Their burglary is a success, but Kris fears his magic is waning and he may not be able to return to the North Pole, ending the legend of Santa Claus forever.

Back at the North Pole, with Christmas Eve fast approaching, Tom is having an awful time convincing MRS. CLAUS, 60s, and the elves that he is not Santa! Appearing so out of sorts, they put him through a rigorous re-orientation in preparation for the big Christmas Eve run.

Hugh tells Millie and Blake that by the time she proves the forgery in court, the deal will have long gone through, and that, in fact, he has a new buyer who is prepared to offer even more money. When Blake places the call on his cell, Hugh’s phone rings. He answers it, and Blake, standing right next to him, makes the offer. Hugh and Millie are stunned. Blake confesses to Millie that he’s made millions with his online clothing store, and gives Hugh a one-hour head start before he calls in the FBI. The house now belongs to Millie, as she and Blake embrace.

The family’s newfound Christmas spirit rekindles Kris’ magic and returns him to the North Pole. Not wanting to go back to the city, Tom is offered the coveted position of Postmaster for Santa's disorganized mailroom. Donning the famous red suit with the knowledge that mortals still believe in the magic of the season, Santa is once again ready to circle the globe for another Christmas Eve.
