Synopsis/Details
WEIRD FATE is a serialized supernatural drama that blends grounded emotional realism with mystery, suspense, and mythology. Set in the fictional small city of Vistern. The series follows David Markovic, a young man whose ordinary life changes after he repeatedly encounters the enigmatic Elisa Malak. Convinced their meetings cannot be coincidence, David makes a simple wish: he asks the universe to bring her into his life. Unbeknownst to him, that decision awakens forces that have remained dormant for centuries.
What begins as a quiet love story gradually transforms into an unfolding supernatural mystery. As David and Elisa grow closer, reality begins to fracture in subtle but unsettling ways. Elisa is not merely a woman with a mysterious past. Unknown even to herself, she is connected to an ancient world hidden beyond human perception. As impossible events begin to surround those closest to them, David finds himself drawn into a conflict that reaches far beyond anything he believed could exist.
Watching from the shadows is Veles, an ancient gatekeeper between worlds who has spent centuries manipulating events to achieve a single objective. He believes Elisa is the key to opening the threshold separating the human world from the realm beyond. Unlike Elisa, Veles possesses no empathy. He views people as tools, and his own daughter as nothing more than a means to complete his plan. As he begins manipulating those around David, the personal lives of the characters become inseparable from a conflict that reaches far beyond anything they understand.
At the same time, an ancient Djinn inhabiting Patricia is sent to infiltrate David's life. Intended only to observe and corrupt, the Djinn instead becomes fascinated by David's loyalty and emotional strength. Her growing obsession develops into feelings she was never meant to experience, creating an unpredictable force that neither she nor Veles can fully control.
Throughout the season, David and his friends attempt to make sense of increasingly terrifying events while Elisa struggles with fragments of a forgotten identity she cannot explain. Friendships are tested, relationships fracture, and long-buried truths slowly emerge. The closer David comes to understanding Elisa, the more dangerous loving her becomes. Every answer reveals a deeper mystery, and every choice carries consequences that extend beyond the human world.
The season builds toward a violent confrontation as Veles abducts Elisa in an attempt to force her to embrace her true nature. David is falsely implicated in her disappearance and arrested outside Veles' manor while events spiral into chaos. As violence erupts, hidden loyalties are exposed, lives are permanently changed, and the Djinn's carefully maintained disguise finally collapses, revealing the true supernatural force beneath.
Season One concludes with the central relationships shattered rather than resolved. Elisa's true origins have begun to surface, Veles moves one step closer to opening the threshold between worlds, and the Djinn finds herself transformed by emotions she was never meant to possess. What began as an intimate story about two people falling in love has become the beginning of a much larger mythological conflict, setting the stage for future seasons while delivering a complete emotional arc built around love, sacrifice, identity, and the consequences of asking fate for more than it was ever meant to give.
