A team of metal detecting treasure hunters unearth an 18th-century relic in the Adirondack wilderness, unleashing a demonic Native-American spirit.

Henry Braden (43) and his son, Cole (17) pack up their truck and with Cole’s two buddies, Ernie (16) and Buzzy (17), head for upstate New York to hike the Huron trail in search of 18th-century artifacts. At a gas station/store, Buzzy asks Cole how much treasure they will find. Cole tells him to shut up! People might be listening. Too late! Quent (50s), a gruff, unkempt man, and Jim (20s), his son, overhear the boys and decide to follow them to their destination, where they plan to scare them off and grab their treasure.
The team stumbles upon an old homestead foundation, oddly surrounded by redbud trees. They unearth some strange artifacts, including a satanic goat-headed figurine of solid silver. That night, it seems to cause Cole to dream of a hideous shadow-like warrior, dressed in a bearskin war bonnet with great horns, and a tomahawk in hand. A colonial redcoat officer rushes from the treeline with a silver-blade tomahawk, slamming it down upon the warrior’s head just as Cole jumps up from his sleep!
In the morning they find a human skull with a silver axe buried in the side of its head and a rock shoved into its mouth. Cole implores Henry to put it back, but he refuses. With no fear, Henry pries the silver blade from the skull and then the rock from its mouth. Instantly, from deep in the forest, Indian war drums and bloodcurdling cries pierce the night air! From deeper in, Quent and Jim stealthily pursue the commotion. With a whoosh, an unseen arrow flies out of nowhere, slicing through Quent’s neck! As he falls dead, Jim rushes into the woods.
Hooh-Strah-Dooh, the warrior from Cole’s nightmare calls forth his fellow demons, whose rotting corpses burst from the ground! One slams a tomahawk into Jim’s neck and feasts on the blood. A second attacks the barricade that Henry and Buzzy have fashioned from a table and rolled-up mats. As arrows fly though the site, they seem invisible, yet make deadly impact as they scuff the dirt. Ernie insists he can go for help, but the warrior-zombies overtake him and cut off his scalp. He manages to crawl back to the camp but dies in Cole’s arms.
Cole readies the silver axe blade in hopes of killing the demon, according to his dream. Another attack, and Buzzy starts the camera recording, but is struck by an arrow. The zombies attack from all sides! Henry is slammed in the back by two tomahawks and falls dead. Jim appears, now un-dead, and entices the boys to join them. Ernie, now a zombie, rises from death and attacks Buzzy, who escapes with Cole. Ernie crosses the line of redbuds dissolving into a pile of gore! The two survivors arrive at a cliff and slam into Hooh-Strah-Dooh, who pulls his knife from Buzzy’s stomach. As he falls to the ground dead, Cole stares into the face of the demon, who deftly slices his throat.
It is morning. We watch through the camera’s viewfinder as it’s dragged into a raccoon’s lair. The police are briefly seen, before the darkness of the hole fades the image to black.

All Accolades & Coverage:

Script Coverage: RECOMMEND (screenplay and writer) by Screenplay Staffing. "It keeps the momentum moving, raises the stakes at every turn which has a real potential to keep the viewer engaged throughout... the tension and the suspense builds evenly and pushes the thrills and chills. The myriad of characters, the foreboding world, and the ‘wicked things’ work well together to deliver a creepy story with ominous undertones. Given that it is released during a prime slot not in conjunction with a large budget, tent pole franchise film, a film such as this is primed to do well."
