"Check-in for chaos."
When a scientist couple infected with a zombie plague boards a commercial plane, two retired Special Ops mechanics must fight to contain the outbreak mid-flight, racing against a growing horde — including undead infants — to prevent a global catastrophe, unaware that one tiny zombie escapes the fiery wreckage.
Synopsis:
At a quiet regional airport during the holidays, the "ZPlane," a modest 100-seat jet, prepares for its final flight of the night. Among the passengers are Dr. Mark Ellison and Dr. Laura Ellison, a scientist couple secretly infected with a rapid zombie plague from a lab mishap. As the plane doors close, their condition spirals, unleashing chaos in the rear of the cabin. Bites spread the infection, turning passengers — including infants and children — into ravenous undead.
In business class, Fred Haeflinger and Jane Haeflinger, newly retired Army Special Ops operators and skilled aircraft mechanics, spring into action as the outbreak escalates. Barricading themselves in the plane’s bathroom, they listen helplessly as the entire cabin succumbs. Outside, lone TSA guard Chip Hutchens spots blood-streaked windows and zombie faces pressed against the glass. With no backup due to holiday staffing, he’s their only lifeline.
Using the pilot’s walkie-talkie, Fred and Jane connect with Chip, who urges them to survive while he desperately seeks help. The couple drops into the plane’s underbelly via a floor hatch, aiming for the wheel well exit, but agile baby zombies pursue them through the tight space. Trapped by the horde above and below, they battle to the rear. Chip smashes ice from the wheel well, freeing them just as the undead close in. Together, they ignite the plane with a fuel truck, believing the threat is contained as it burns.
But as help finally arrives, a charred baby zombie crawls from the debris, slipping away unnoticed. The trio’s victory is short-lived — the plague’s next chapter looms.
Elevator Pitch:
"Imagine a snowy, understaffed regional airport on a quiet holiday night. The 'ZPlane,' a 100-seat jet, is boarding its last flight. Among the passengers are Dr. Mark and Laura Ellison, brilliant scientists who’ve just escaped a lab disaster — but they’re hiding a secret: they’re infected with a fast-acting zombie plague. As the doors close, their bodies give out, and they turn, tearing into the rear of the plane. The infection spreads like wildfire — passengers die and rise within minutes, even infants and small children, their tiny hands clawing with unnatural hunger. It’s chaos in a metal tube.
Up in business class, Fred and Jane Haeflinger, a battle-hardened Special Ops couple who just retired, snap into action. They’re not just soldiers — they’re aircraft mechanics, too, and this plane is their battlefield. They barricade themselves in the bathroom, listening as the snarls overtake the cabin, plotting their next move. Outside, Chip Hutchens, a lone TSA guard pulling a double shift, spots blood streaking the windows and grotesque faces — adults, kids, babies — pressed against the glass. He’s got no backup, just a radio that won’t connect, but he’s their lifeline.
Fred and Jane drop into the plane’s underbelly, crawling toward the wheel well exit, but the baby zombies — small, fast, relentless — follow them into the dark. Trapped above and below, they fight with wrenches and grit, while Chip races outside to free them. They finally escape and torch the plane with a fuel truck, watching it burn with the horde inside. They think it’s over — until a charred baby zombie crawls from the wreckage, unnoticed, its glowing eyes hinting at a plague unbound. This is 28 Days Later meets Die Hard, a claustrophobic survival thriller where every inch of the plane is a death trap, and the real horror is what slips away."
