Hey y'all.

I'm a newbie on here and excited to join the community. My next target has to be to secure an agent to take that responsibility off my shoulders (thus allwoing me to get on with the creating bit).

Does anyone have any useful guidance on hand?

My advice, and I'm sorry if this comes across as pessimistic, is to put the idea of chasing a rep to one side. Be your own agent and go directly to producers and directors. From experience, and having had both an Amazon #4 and a Hulu #1 is that the rep world is asleep at the wheel. They are no proactive. They are mostly just jumping on what looks like easy money and often unerdelivering when they do.

Oh dear. Not great news. Evidently, it must be a fantasy world where my trusted agent eagerly awaits whatever next I produce.

So go to the horses mouth, you say? That would mean cultivating relationships with the prospective producers beforehand, presumably? Offering snippets? Whole episodes?

So many questions.

Hello CJ. I'm happy to hear your advice. I would like to ask where is a good place to look for producers and mangers?

What CJ said!

Agents are exceptionally useful when it comes to contracts etc and can secure you work. They can also provide useful feedback and a guiding hand.

But networking yourself is really crucial and will likely yield more results in the end.

Best of luck with it!

Mark, I would look at both LinkedIn and IMDB Pro.
